Many years after this image was taken, I find myself trying to recapture its simpleness. It is with these special images that we timestamp our lives with, the ones which bring back the memories.

20 years of photographing my family has taught me that the best images come from allowing people to be themselves, to be comfortable with the photo shoot that is happening around them. The less they are aware, the more natural an image you will get.
